Ernie (文心一言 / ERNIE) is Baidu’s foundation model family and consumer chatbot, with API access via Baidu AI Cloud Qianfan. The consumer surface is yiyan.baidu.com; developers meter models on cloud.baidu.com Qianfan docs. As of the Qianfan billing doc updated 2 September 2026, flagship online inference includes ERNIE 5.1 and ERNIE 5.0 (with Thinking variants), plus cost-efficient ERNIE 4.5 Turbo lines. Prices are published in CNY per thousand tokens: convert to USD only with an explicit FX note. There is no official Baidu USD list.

Quote CNY first. Rough USD order-of-magnitude using ~0.14–0.15 USD/CNY puts ERNIE 5.1 near ~$0.56–$0.60 / $2.50–$2.70 per 1M tokens on the ≤32k tier: illustrative only; FX moves.
