6sense is an enterprise B2B revenue intelligence platform that identifies anonymous buyers, scores account intent, and orchestrates go-to-market execution across advertising, email, and sales, all before prospects ever raise their hand.

Features:API

6sense is a B2B revenue intelligence platform built to solve a specific problem: most buying research happens before a prospect ever contacts a vendor. Founded in 2013 in San Francisco and valued at $5.2B as of 2022, 6sense captures what the company calls "Dark Funnel" activity: anonymous browsing, content consumption, and intent signals across the web that indicate an account is actively evaluating solutions. The platform's AI then scores those accounts, predicts where they sit in the buying journey, and surfaces them to sales and marketing teams with prioritized recommendations for when and how to engage.

The core product suite in 2026 is branded Revenue AI, split across marketing and sales use cases. Key capabilities include the Signalverse intent network (processing over 1 trillion B2B buyer signals daily), predictive account scoring using the 6QA (6sense Qualified Account) model, AI-driven advertising through an integrated DSP, Intelligent Workflows for cross-channel orchestration, and RevvyAI, a conversational AI command center launched in November 2025 that lets teams configure campaigns, build audiences, and generate reports through natural language. The AI Email product automates the full outbound email lifecycle through persona-driven agents. 6sense integrates natively with Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Salesloft, and most major CRM and marketing automation platforms.

What 6sense actually is in May 2026

The product has evolved significantly from its ABM roots. In March 2023, 6sense formally launched Revenue AI for Sales, entering the sales intelligence category alongside tools like ZoomInfo Copilot. That release added Recommended Actions (AI-prioritized outreach suggestions), a Persona Map showing buying team structure with contact details, a Chrome Extension for in-browser prospecting, and Prioritization Dashboards for SDR teams. CEO Jason Zintak framed it at launch as placing 6sense "in a new category where we can innovate and lead."

By November 2025, RevvyAI extended that ambition further. The feature set includes three named AI agents: Ad Campaign Companion, Keyword Advisor, and 6QA Analyst. These agents work inside persona-based workspaces tailored to specific roles (demand generation, sales ops, SDRs). Users can ask RevvyAI in plain language to find late-stage accounts, pull intent reports, or launch retargeting campaigns without navigating the platform's deeper filter system. The Fall 2025 product update also added a redesigned Chrome Extension with AI Summaries for account and contact context, plus expanded intent coverage in EMEA markets through new publisher integrations.

The platform sits on top of 450M+ individual B2B profiles and 65M+ companies, with over 100M emails and 55M direct dials in its contact layer. Forrester named 6sense a Leader in Revenue Marketing Platforms for B2B in Q1 2026, citing the breadth of the signal network and depth of the predictive model. Customer case studies published by 6sense report significant pipeline outcomes: Marathon Health attributed $66M in net-new pipeline to the platform; PTC reported $18M in pipeline generated in four months.

Where 6sense sits versus Salesloft and ZoomInfo Copilot

6sense vs. Salesloft: These platforms operate at different layers of the GTM stack and are frequently deployed together. Salesloft is a revenue orchestration platform built around the activity layer: it manages email cadences, records and analyzes sales calls, tracks deal progression, and since its merger with Clari in 2024, handles forecasting. Salesloft's AI scores conversation quality and seller behavior from first-party engagement data. 6sense works at the signal layer upstream: it identifies which accounts are worth pursuing and when, based on anonymous third-party intent signals the seller has never seen. Salesloft does not have a proprietary intent signal network; it depends on integrations with platforms like 6sense to import account-level intelligence. Qlik, for example, runs 6sense, Salesloft, and Marketo together as complementary layers in its GTM stack.

6sense vs. ZoomInfo Copilot: ZoomInfo is fundamentally a contact database company (500M+ professional profiles, 100M+ companies) with a generative AI layer (Copilot) added in 2023-2024 to surface outreach recommendations from that data. ZoomInfo Copilot blends first-party CRM activity with ZoomInfo's firmographic and intent intelligence to suggest who to contact and generate personalized email drafts. The core difference is intent data architecture: ZoomInfo's intent signals come from a publisher co-op similar to Bombora, covering roughly 7,000-10,000 B2B websites. 6sense's Signalverse is a proprietary, non-public signal network processing over 1 trillion signals per day; reviewers consistently rate 6sense intent as more accurate for identifying genuinely in-market accounts. However, ZoomInfo has better contact-level resolution: individual names, direct dials, and validated emails. 6sense identifies companies and buying groups but cannot always resolve individual anonymous visitors to named contacts. Teams choosing between them often pick ZoomInfo for high-volume prospecting and 6sense for strategic, account-level ABM.

Both platforms differ from conversation intelligence tools like Gong, which works post-first-contact to analyze what happens during sales calls. 6sense works before that conversation happens. Teams also frequently pair 6sense with data enrichment tools like Clay to fill gaps in the contact layer that 6sense does not fully cover.

How AI actually works inside 6sense

The core AI is a supervised machine learning model trained on billions of historical B2B purchase events. It takes anonymous behavioral signals (website visits, content downloads, keyword searches, technology installs, job postings) and maps them to buying stages: Awareness, Consideration, Decision, Purchase. The model updates continuously as new signals arrive; 6sense added Model Lifecycle Management in October 2024 to automatically monitor and retrain predictive models without manual intervention.

RevvyAI sits on top of this infrastructure as a conversational interface. When a user asks RevvyAI to "show accounts in our ICP that moved to Decision stage in the last 30 days," the system translates that into a platform query, executes it, and returns a prioritized list with account-level context, without manual filter-building. The Ad Campaign Companion agent uses the same underlying data to recommend creative elements and bid adjustments for active display campaigns. The 6QA Analyst handles account qualification scoring, replacing traditional MQL handoff logic with a model that predicts pipeline readiness based on intent stage rather than form fills.

AI Email takes the account-level signal and executes at the contact level: once an account enters a priority tier, AI Email agents generate personalized messages, send them, monitor replies, qualify responses, and route warm opportunities to human sellers for meetings. The system ingests CRM history, account intent data, and persona-level context to vary messaging by buying role (economic buyer, champion, technical evaluator).

"This week, we heard how customers are using 6sense AI agents to revolutionize their go-to-market strategies, whether it's outbound AI agents driving daily meetings or inbound agents accelerating the path from interest to booking." - Latane Conant, Chief Revenue Officer at 6sense, Breakthrough 2024 conference, October 2024

The friction and reliability concerns users keep raising

Enthusiasm from enterprise teams is real, but so are the documented complaints across G2, TrustRadius, and Reddit.

Intent scoring transparency: The most common criticism across review platforms is that the buying-stage AI functions as a black box. Sellers receive an account flagged at "Decision" with no clear explanation of which signals triggered it or how confident the model is. This erodes trust: salespeople who act on unclear signals and get poor results stop using the platform.

"Why does this account show Decision stage?" - a recurring complaint in 6sense user community threads, captured across multiple G2 reviews

Contact data quality: 6sense is account-focused, not contact-focused. Its contact resolution is weakest for remote workers, VPN users, and mobile-first browsing patterns (all of which have grown post-2020). Multiple G2 reviewers note that out of five contacts returned, two or three are outdated or incorrect. One G2 reviewer put it directly: "out of 5 contacts 2 are good, the rest are obsolete."

Implementation time and complexity: Reddit threads in r/b2bmarketing consistently describe multi-quarter implementations as typical, with roughly half the time going to internal data quality issues and the other half to vendor-side dependencies. The "90-day go-live" claim is frequently disputed. Onboarding new SDRs to the platform takes a week or more just to understand which dashboard serves as a daily starting point.

Pricing and renewal escalators: Year-2 price escalators in the high double digits are a recurring theme on Reddit when buyers do not negotiate caps upfront. The platform has no transparent public pricing; all tiers are custom-quoted. One Reddit user in r/SaaSSales described 6sense as their "worst financial investment they've ever made." Another described paying $120,000/year on a two-year commitment. The lesson cited most often: negotiate a year-2 escalator cap in the original contract.

Advertising network performance: Several G2 reviewers report declining performance from 6sense's integrated DSP over time. "Data model isn't as good as it used to be.. Advertising network drives zero results" and "overexpensive way to do display ads" are recurring criticisms. This appears more prevalent for mid-market accounts than enterprise.

Geographic coverage gaps: Intent data quality drops noticeably outside North America. "Data from the platform is not accurate for any region outside of US" is a documented complaint. The Fall 2025 product update added new EMEA publisher integrations, but coverage parity with North America has not been confirmed by independent reviewers.

Who 6sense is for

The right fit: Enterprise B2B companies with 500+ employees, $50K+ annual budgets for marketing technology, and an existing RevOps function capable of managing implementation and ongoing model tuning. Specifically, it delivers the most value when sales cycles are long (6-18 months), deal sizes are high (six figures and above), and the GTM motion depends on coordinated advertising plus outbound plus inbound across a defined target account list. Companies selling into well-defined industry verticals in North America are the clearest beneficiaries of the intent data quality. Marketing and sales teams that can invest 3-6 months in proper setup before expecting pipeline results.

"6sense has been great in helping us identify segments based on intent features such as keywords and categories." - G2 reviewer, G2.com (via warmly.ai, 2025)

When to skip it: SMBs, early-stage startups, and any company without dedicated RevOps staff are poor fits. The implementation overhead and pricing floor alone disqualify most teams under 200 employees. Teams running high-velocity, transactional sales to SMB buyers will find the account-based intent model misaligned with how deals actually happen at that scale. Companies primarily selling outside North America will encounter intent data gaps that reduce the platform's core value proposition. Teams without clean CRM data are also poor candidates: the predictive model improves significantly when trained on closed-won history, and dirty CRM data degrades output quality.

If your goal is primarily contact enrichment and database access, tools like ZoomInfo or Clay will serve that need at lower cost and complexity. If your priority is call analysis and deal coaching, Gong addresses a different problem. 6sense earns its price when the core need is identifying which accounts to pursue before they identify you.
